Susan (Suzy) O’Connor, 78, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully at Meadow Lakes, Saturday, December 9, 2017. Born in Corry, PA and raised in Manhattan, NY, she resided in East Windsor for the past 53 years.

Suzy graduated from Mercer County Community College with a degree in Nursing and was a registered nurse with Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Hamilton. Growing up as an only child, Suzy was most proud of her large family who loved and adored her. In addition to family, Suzy had many deep and wonderful friendships that meant the world to her. She also enjoyed reading, traveling and her service to the church where she served in the Eucharistic Ministry, the Altar Rosary Society and the Bereavement Group which she led for many years.

Predeceased by her parents, Hazel and Clifford Lannan, Suzy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Eugene O’Connor, her two daughters, son and their spouses: Jacqueline and William Brennan, Jennifer and Richard Piepszak and Gavin and Marybeth O’Connor. She had nine grandchildren and she cherished them all: Ryan, Jack, Danielle, Kate, Kiera, Liam, Will, Cole, and Owen.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm to 8pm, Wednesday, Dec. 13, at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Thursday, Dec. 14, at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations in Suzy’s name may be made to: Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, 1663 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA09020.
